Our client is a well-established Pharmacy Group dedicated to delivering efficient, patient-focused walk-in healthcare services. With multiple sites across the country and a growing demand for digital systems, a reliable IT infrastructure is essential for day-to-day operations.
The Challenge
The Pharmacy Group had inherited a number of ageing PCs from a previous owner, and performance issues were becoming increasingly noticeable. With Windows 10 support ending on October 14th, almost 80 machines needed replacing urgently to stay secure and compliant. In a healthcare environment where data protection and reliability are critical, the upgrade had to be completed quickly and done right.
The Solution
QLine IT received two separate deliveries consisting of Dell All-in-One PCs featuring 16GB RAM and Intel Ultra 5 processors. This provided a modern, space-saving, high-performance solution perfectly suited to a busy pharmacy environment.
Each machine was:
Wiped and reloaded with the latest Windows 11 (24H2).
Entra ID registered with the correct user accounts.
Configured for pharmacy and NHS-connected systems.
Set up with email and cloud services.
Fully tested, encrypted, and ready for staff to use immediately, with minimal downtime.
Our team managed the full rollout, from unboxing and installation to configuration and secure networking. We remained onsite to ensure every system was functional, including installing printer and label drivers so operations could resume without interruption.
The Results
Although the rollout is still ongoing, the Pharmacy Group has already seen clear improvements in:
Speed and reliability – daily tasks and dispensing processes are noticeably faster.
Data security – devices are now fully enrolled into the correct organisational environments.
User experience – simplified logins, improved access, and faster performance across Microsoft services.
Workspace efficiency – Dell All-in-Ones have freed up desk space and created a cleaner, more professional setup.
Summary
With the end of Windows 10 support fast approaching on October 14th, this project highlights the importance of staying ahead when it comes to system upgrades, especially in environments that rely on security and performance to operate smoothly. Outdated machines don’t just slow staff down; they expose businesses to serious security risks.
QLine IT delivered a fast turnaround, replacing and configuring over 80 PCs across multiple sites within tight deadlines. Every system was upgraded to Windows 11, fully tested, encrypted, and ready for use straight away.
By acting early, the Pharmacy Group avoided disruption and ensured their staff can continue working securely and efficiently on a modern, supported platform.
