Talk Talk Scam


As you will be aware, there has been a major telephone scam recently, where you will receive a telephone call purporting to be from Microsoft, and claiming you have a virus on your computer. The scammers then try and install remote software on your computer which locks you out. You are then advised that it will cost to remove the software. Once the scammers have your credit card, they will empty your bank account.

The latest scam is identical only this time, they claim to be from Talk Talk. Because a lot of people are with Talk Talk, it sounds more genuine. BE ADVISED, if you receive a call from anyone claiming to be from your Internet Service Provider (ISP), and they are talking about your computer, it is likely to be a scam. Never give out your bank details to these people, either over the phone or by entering your details on screen.
