Answers around the clock
All calls, or just evenings, weekends and when you're busy.
Precinct Care
Every call answered, even at 2am. Precinct Receptionist answers your phone and website chat, knows your home, books visits and gets urgent calls to the right person.
Families ring when they can, which is often in the evening or at a weekend, and a missed call can be a family that rings someone else. Precinct Receptionist picks up, says it is an AI, answers questions about your home in your wording and books a visit. You choose when it answers: every call, or just evenings, weekends and when you're busy.
The same receptionist answers in a chat box on your website, so a question gets the same answer however it arrives. Callers hear a name, and each home can choose its own.
Where we are: Precinct Receptionist is in pilot testing. It runs end to end on a test line with invented homes, and no real home's calls pass through it yet. We are talking to a small number of homes about pilots.
All calls, or just evenings, weekends and when you're busy.
Rooms, care types, fees from, visiting, parking and pets, in your wording.
Takes the name and number, books a visit and texts the confirmation.
Your on-call manager hears who is calling and why before being joined.
The same receptionist answers in a chat box on your site.
Transcript and details for every call, kept for six months, then deleted automatically.
Every call opens by saying the caller is talking to an AI assistant and that calls are recorded.
Receptionist: Good evening. You're through to Fernlea House. My name's Luke. I'm an AI assistant, and calls are recorded. How can I help?
Caller: Hello. I'm looking for somewhere for my dad. He's 86.
Receptionist: Of course. Would you like to come and see us? I can look at visit times for you now.
Fernlea House is an invented home.
If a caller is in danger or talks about suicide, they hear fixed, safe wording rather than anything the AI has written: ring 999, Samaritans' number, and straight through to your on-call manager. On a website chat the same message appears and the manager is alerted.
Threats ring your on-call person at once and the evidence is kept. Safeguarding concerns and complaints are listened to, noted, marked urgent and passed to the on-call manager. The receptionist doesn't assess or judge them.
The service is on its own dedicated server, separate from Precinct Care and every other system we run. Recordings and transcripts are kept for six months, then deleted automatically. Threat calls are kept until removed by hand.
While we test, some parts of the service run outside the UK, so the test line takes made-up details only. Those parts are replaced or formally approved before any real home goes live, and a penetration test comes first too. We will give you the technical and security specification, which shows what is in place today and what must be finished before go-live, so you can hold us to both.
Yes. Every call opens by saying the caller is talking to an AI assistant and that calls are recorded.
No. It can take all your calls, or just evenings, weekends and when you're busy.
Yes. Each home has its own facts, on-call number and receptionist name.
If nobody answers within 25 seconds, the caller is told so and the call stays marked urgent for a call back.
Not yet. It speaks UK English.
It is in pilot testing and no real home's calls pass through it yet. Contact us to talk about a pilot.
Tell us about your home and when your calls go unanswered. We'll show you how Precinct Receptionist would handle them.
