Location and Wi-Fi together
The device must be at the home and on the home's staff Wi-Fi, which QLine IT installs and manages.
Precinct Care
Location, the home's own Wi-Fi and the worker's face, all checked together. No buddy clocking, no clocking in from home, and timesheets that match who was really there.
GPS on its own can be faked with an app. Precinct Care also checks that the phone or tablet is on the home's own staff Wi-Fi, and that the person clocking in is who they say they are. All three have to agree.
Where we are: Precinct Care is in final development, shaped with registered managers, Responsible Individuals and Reg 44 visitors. We are booking demonstrations now and taking a small number of pilot homes. The snippets on this page are from the working system, filled with made-up people and records.

A colleague can't clock someone else in, even on the same tablet.
Home tablets, or staff phones the manager has approved. Home and shared computers are refused.
Refused attempts go in the audit trail and the manager is told straight away.

On a home tablet or registered phone, the worker taps Clock in. Precinct Care checks where they are, the home's Wi-Fi, the device and their face. If someone is at home trying to clock in early, or using a fake-location app, it refuses and tells the manager.

Clock-in times feed the rota and timesheets. The manager checks any extra hours, approves the week and sends it to payroll. QuickBooks Payroll is the first payroll system supported, and staff see their own payslips in the app.
Sleep-ins and extra hours are worked out from the provider's pay rules.
The Wi-Fi check works because QLine IT installs and manages the home's network, with separate networks for staff and each young person. See secure Wi-Fi for children's homes.
Book a 30-minute demonstration. We'll show you the screens your staff, managers and inspectors would use.
