My placement plan, in plain words
Where they live and why, school, family time and house rules, written for them to read and sign.
Precinct Care
Young people get their own app, so their plans are written for them, their voice goes in their file, and their memories go with them when they leave.
Young people in care have a right to know what is written about them and to have their say. Precinct Care gives each young person their own app, on a device the home provides, designed for them rather than for staff.
Where we are: Precinct Care is in final development, shaped with registered managers, Responsible Individuals and Reg 44 visitors. We are booking demonstrations now and taking a small number of pilot homes. The snippets on this page are from the working system, filled with made-up people and records.
Where they live and why, school, family time and house rules, written for them to read and sign.
What they think about their plans goes in their file, in their own words.
Goals set with their keyworker, points for things done well, swapped for rewards they choose.
Photos and memories from their time in the home, shared by their keyworker, and a printed hardback copy to keep.
A simple way to ask a question or a favour, kept in the record.
Calming tips, who to tell if they don't feel safe, and Childline's number.
Points are given for things done well, such as being kind to someone who was upset or trying something new. They are only ever added, never taken away. Consequences are handled separately, agreed with the young person.
Children in care often leave with few photos of their childhood. Photos from daily logs and activities, chosen by staff, build into a memory book. When it is shared, the young person can see it in their app, and the home can order a printed hardback copy.
Book a 30-minute demonstration. We'll show you the screens your staff, managers and inspectors would use.
