Registered devices only
Precinct Care only opens on devices the provider owns and has registered. Personal phones and home computers are refused, even with the right details.
Precinct Care
Children's records are some of the most sensitive data there is. Precinct Care only opens on registered devices, uses faces instead of passwords, and records everything.
Precinct Care is built by QLine IT, a managed IT and cybersecurity company whose staff are all enhanced-DBS checked. We look after the networks and devices of children's homes already, and Precinct Care is designed around the same controls.
Where we are: Precinct Care is in final development, shaped with registered managers, Responsible Individuals and Reg 44 visitors. We are booking demonstrations now and taking a small number of pilot homes. The snippets on this page are from the working system, filled with made-up people and records.

Staff sign in and sign records with their face or fingerprint, so a colleague can't sign for them.
New devices must be encrypted and screen-locked before they are enrolled. Lost devices can be removed and wiped.
Care workers see the young people in their homes. HR records and the audit trail are for managers.
Every sign-in, record opened and entry created, changed or synced. Nothing can be deleted, including by managers.
Inspectors and Reg 44 visitors get read-only, time-limited access with one-time codes and a watermark.

The audit trail shows who did what, where, and on which device, across all of a provider's homes. Failed sign-ins and blocked attempts, such as someone trying to open a page outside their access, are flagged.

Managers see every registered tablet, laptop and phone, who last used it and when. A device can be removed and wiped in one step. A sign-in from an unknown computer is refused and logged.
Retention is set by the provider's policy, following the regulations for each service. For example, adult care records are kept for 8 years after care ends, following NHS records guidance. Children's records are kept for the longer periods their regulations require.
Book a 30-minute demonstration. We'll show you the screens your staff, managers and inspectors would use.
