Sync: files available wherever staff work
Sync keeps shared files available to the right people, whether they are in the office, at home or abroad, with the same 30-day versioning and two-factor sign-in. For most businesses on Microsoft 365, SharePoint and OneDrive do this job, and we back them up separately so a deletion in SharePoint is not the end of the story.
On-site storage with a NAS
Where a business has large volumes of data, a NAS (network-attached storage) drive can be a more cost-effective place to keep it than cloud storage. It works like a file server, with access set by role, and can itself be backed up offsite. We use Synology.

Does Microsoft back up our Microsoft 365 data?
Microsoft keeps the service running, but deleted items are only kept for a limited time. A separate backup of mailboxes and SharePoint protects against deletions, mistakes and ransomware. Read why Microsoft 365 needs its own backup.
How far back can you restore?
Our backup keeps 30 days of file versions, so a file can be restored as it was on any day in that period.
Is backup included in your IT support?
Backup and disaster recovery are included in our Full IT Support contract.
Where is our backup data stored?
In secure data centres in the UK, encrypted in transit and in storage.
What if a drive has already failed and there is no backup?
Switch it off and do not try to repair it. Our Leeds office is the drop-off point for a specialist lab; see data recovery in Leeds.
