Resident Wi-Fi
Residents get their own network, kept apart from staff and office systems, so a resident's device can never see care records.
Speciality
Reliable Wi-Fi for residents, staff and visitors, each on their own network, set up and watched over by our team so your managers never have to think about it.
In a care home or supported living service, one Wi-Fi network shared by everyone is a risk. Residents' tablets, visitors' phones, care-planning devices and the office computers all end up on the same network, with one password that soon gets passed around.
We give residents, staff and visitors their own networks, kept apart from each other, and we watch them for you. Where it helps, each flat or resident can have their own Wi-Fi and password. QLine IT has looked after children's homes and care settings for more than ten years and is a commercial partner of Scottish Care.
Residents get their own network, kept apart from staff and office systems, so a resident's device can never see care records.
In supported living, each flat or resident can have their own Wi-Fi and password, so their devices are their own.
Staff devices and care-planning tablets have their own network, and it cannot be switched off by mistake.
Families and visiting professionals get internet access without going anywhere near your own systems.
We plan coverage for residents' rooms, not just the office, and tune the Wi-Fi so access points do not interfere with each other.
If the internet or Wi-Fi drops, our monitoring raises a ticket straight away, usually before anyone has to ring us.
Each site's network settings are backed up every week, so a replacement can be set up quickly if a device fails.
Managers can add a device, change a Wi-Fi password or set times for a network themselves, in our app.

In supported living, tenants live in their own homes, and their internet should feel like it. Each flat or tenant can have their own network and password, so their devices are not shared with anyone else's, while staff keep a separate network for their own work.
Where a person's support plan calls for it, their network can have its own filtering or set times, without affecting anyone else. For everyone else, the internet is simply open and reliable.
Care records and personal information should never sit on the same network as visitors' phones. Keeping staff, residents and guests apart is one of the simplest ways to protect your data and meet your GDPR obligations.
Every member of our team holds an enhanced DBS check, and we hold Cyber Essentials Plus, independently assessed every year. If you also need help with laptops, email or phones, we provide full managed IT support as well.
