What each option is for
No contract, £90 an hour
You call us when something breaks and pay for the time it takes. Fine for a one-off problem or a business that genuinely never needs help. Most businesses that start here move to a contract within a year, because the third emergency costs more than twelve months of monitoring would have.
Monitoring, £13 per computer a month
We watch every machine in real time, run weekly maintenance, patch it, and you get priority response and a discounted £60 hourly rate when you do need hands-on help. The right choice if you have someone in-house who handles the day-to-day and wants a safety net.
Full IT Support, £24 per computer a month
Everything in Monitoring plus unlimited remote helpdesk, all the labour, Microsoft 365 administration, backup, security, hardware planning and a quarterly review. One fixed number a month for the whole of your IT. This is what most of our clients choose.
What is included on a full contract
- Phones answered without queues, and tickets and emails answered within 30 minutes.
- Real-time remote support. Most problems are fixed remotely within minutes, often before you notice them.
- Set-up work and on-site visits are included. Travel is charged at £26 an hour and 55p a mile, return, so a visit to a Leeds office costs a few pounds, not a call-out fee.
- Prices are fixed for the 12-month term. We do not put them up mid-contract.
What is not included
Being straight about this is the point of publishing prices.
- Hardware. Quoted per job. Everything we supply carries at least a 12-month warranty.
- Projects. Office moves, server upgrades and Microsoft 365 migrations are quoted separately, from £450 plus VAT, so your monthly fee stays predictable.
- AI and automation work. From £90 plus VAT.
- Anything outside the agreed scope on a contract is charged at £60 an hour, and we tell you before we start.
Contract length and getting out
Twelve months, then it rolls on with notice either way under our Master Service Agreement. We think twelve months is the right length: long enough to do the job properly, short enough that we have to keep earning it. No three-year lock-ins, no exit fees.
How this compares
UK managed IT support runs from about £40 to £150 per user a month, with most small businesses paying £60 to £80. Ad-hoc support is typically £75 to £120 an hour. Our full contract at £24 a computer sits at the bottom of that range because we price per device rather than per user, we do not carry a sales team, and we do not sell a complicated service catalogue. If a quote you are comparing is much cheaper, check what “helpdesk” and “patching” cost as extras. Two prices £200 apart are usually quoting for two different services.
